Sport Recife and Santos Play Out Thrilling Draw in Recife
Recife, Pernambuco – The match between Sport Recife and Santos, valid for the 17th matchday of the Brazilian Serie A, ended in a 2-2 draw in a match full of emotions and controversies. Sport Recife took an early lead in the 4th minute with a goal by Derik Lacerda, assisted by Chrystian Barletta. The first half was marked by intense midfield battles and several cards. Lucas Lima and Ze Lucas from Sport Recife, as well as G. Escobar and T. Rincon from Santos, received yellow cards. Rincon was also sent off with a red card just before halftime, leaving Santos with ten men.
