Sport Huancayo defeated ADT 2-1 in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Huancayo in Huancayo, as part of the fifth round of the Apertura stage of the 2025 Peruvian Primera División. Although ADT dominated possession with 64%, Sport Huancayo proved more effective in attack. C. Cabello opened the scoring for ADT in the 25th minute, assisted by J. Vidales. However, Sport Huancayo came back with goals from J. Posito (39th minute, assisted by E. Fernandez) and R. Huaccha (55th minute). The match was marked by tension, with two yellow cards for Sport Huancayo (E. Villar and J. Madrid) and a red card for G. Choi of ADT in the closing stages. Despite ADT’s territorial dominance (17 shots, 4 on target), Sport Huancayo showed effectiveness with 12 shots, 6 of them on target.
