Alianza Atletico Secures Victory in a Hard-Fought Match Against Sport Boys in Callao
Alianza Atletico achieved a valuable victory in their visit to the Estadio Miguel Grau in Callao, overcoming Sport Boys in a match that, while not outstanding for its brilliance, had intensity and key moments. The goal by A. Graneros in the 19th minute, assisted by H. Lupu, was enough to seal the triumph for the visitors.
The match, refereed by Víctor Cori, was characterized by a high number of fouls (17 for Alianza Atlético and 11 for Sport Boys) and yellow cards (3 for each team), reflecting the constant dispute in midfield. Despite Sport Boys dominating possession with 60% compared to Alianza Atlético’s 40%, they failed to capitalize on their opportunities. Of the 13 shots taken by the home team, only 2 were on target, while Alianza Atlético, with 16 total shots, managed to send 5 to the opposing goal, demonstrating greater effectiveness.
