Sport Boys Secures Hard-Fought Victory Against ADT in Callao
Callao, Peru – In a tightly contested match at the Estadio Miguel Grau del Callao, Sport Boys clinched a hard-fought victory against ADT in the fourth round of the Clausura of the Peruvian Primera División. The match, officiated by Michael Espinoza, was marked by tension and numerous cards.
The scoreboard opened at the 14th minute with a goal by F. Roca for Sport Boys, who capitalized on his own rebound after missing a penalty, with assistance from the same player. However, the lead wouldn’t last long. H. Riojas extended the home team’s advantage at the 35th minute, this time from the penalty spot.
The intensity of the game led to numerous cautions. For ADT, C. Cabello, J. Narvaez, G. Choi, H. Rengifo, and A. Moyano received yellow cards. Sport Boys also suffered from fouls, with A. Solis and C. H. Da cautioned, the latter also receiving a red card in the 81st minute, leaving his team with ten men.
Despite having less ball possession (44% compared to ADT’s 56%), Sport Boys was more effective in attack, with 14 total shots (5 on target) compared to their rival’s 11 (2 on target). ADT dominated in corner kicks with 9, while Sport Boys had 4.
The match concluded with a victory for Sport Boys, who managed to withstand ADT’s pressure, despite being a man down in the final minutes.
