Southampton Defeats Birmingham in Thrilling Match at St. Mary’s Stadium
Southampton secured a significant home victory against Birmingham in a Championship match held at St. Mary’s Stadium. The game, officiated by David Webb, was characterized by an intense pace and opportunities for both teams.
The home side took an early lead with a goal from F. Azaz in the 6th minute, assisted by L. Scienza. The advantage was extended in the 24th minute with a goal from A. Armstrong, again with Azaz providing the assist. Birmingham tried to respond, but the Southampton defense remained solid.
