Sonderjyske Edges Out Vejle with a Lone Goal in Haderslev
Sonderjyske secured a 1-0 victory over Vejle at the Sydbank Park in Haderslev, Denmark, in a match from the relegation round, game 3 of the Danish Superliga. The only goal of the game came in the 25th minute, courtesy of T. Sommer, assisted by M. Agger.
Despite Vejle enjoying a greater share of possession (56% to Sonderjyske’s 44%), it was the home side’s clinical finishing that proved decisive. Vejle managed 13 shots, only one of which was on target, while Sonderjyske, with 10 attempts, hit the target with 4. Both teams saw players cautioned; Vejle received two yellow cards, and Sonderjyske one. The match, officiated by Lasse Laebel Graagaard, was a tightly contested affair with numerous fouls from both sides.
