Slovan Liberec convincingly defeated Teplice 3-0 in a match played at the Stadion u Nisy in Liberec, corresponding to matchday 18 of the Czech Liga. The game, played on December 8th, 2024, was marked by the home side’s superior finishing.
A. Ghali opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal assisted by D. Preisler. Despite receiving a yellow card in the 47th minute, Ghali was again crucial to the game, assisting M. Hlavaty for the second goal in the 78th minute. The victory was sealed with a penalty converted by D. Visinsky in added time (90th minute).
Although Teplice dominated possession (55%), Slovan Liberec showed greater efficiency in attack, with 13 shots (5 on target) compared to Teplice’s 11 (4 on target). Statistics reflected a similar number of fouls (16 for Liberec and 12 for Teplice), but the difference in goal-scoring effectiveness determined the final result. The referee was Jan Benes from Czechia.
