Slovan Bratislava Crushes Komárno in Controversial Match
Bratislava, December 4, 2024 – Slovan Bratislava dominated Komárno with a resounding 6-0 victory in the 12th round of the Slovak Super Liga, played at the Štadión Tehelné pole in Bratislava. The match, officiated by Lukas Dzivjak, was characterized by Slovan’s overwhelming superiority, controlling possession (61%) and creating numerous scoring chances.
T. Barseghyan scored a brace (6th and 27th minutes), while D. Ignatenko and D. Strelec extended the lead before halftime (33rd and 37th minutes, respectively). In the second half, Slovan continued its dominance, adding two more goals thanks to M. Tolic (83rd minute) and a late strike (90th minute). The game was punctuated by several yellow cards for players from both teams, and in the closing stages, J. Medvedev was sent off with a second yellow card (90th minute). Despite the victory, Slovan Bratislava finished the game with two yellow cards and one red card. Komárno accumulated 3 yellow cards. The visiting team barely threatened, managing only one shot on target.
