Slovácko Mounts Comeback Victory Against Depleted Teplice at Home
Uherské Hradiště witnessed a thrilling match where Slovácko secured an important comeback victory against Teplice, winning in the final minutes. The match, played at the Městský fotbalový stadion Miroslava Valenty and refereed by Jan Petrik, corresponding to the fifth matchday of the Czech Liga, saw Teplice take the lead in the 21st minute thanks to a goal by D. Trubac, assisted by L. Krejci.
However, Slovácko’s dominance in ball possession (63% compared to Teplice’s 37%) began to bear fruit in the final stretch of the match. Despite both teams showing intensity, reflected in the numerous yellow cards (4 for Slovácko and 5 for Teplice) and the red card for M. Radosta of Teplice in the 80th minute, it was Slovácko who managed to convert their opportunities.
M. Kvasina equalized the match in the 87th minute, assisted by P. Reinberk, and M. Krmencik sealed the match in the 90th minute, giving Slovácko the victory. Slovácko generated a total of 19 shots, with 7 on target, while Teplice took 13 shots, with 5 on goal. Slovácko’s superiority was also reflected in the number of corners, 7 against Teplice’s 8, although both teams committed a similar number of fouls (14 for Slovácko and 16 for Teplice). Teplice, despite the initial goal, could not maintain the lead and ended up succumbing to the pressure of Slovácko.
