Sigma Olomouc Secures Victory in Hard-Fought Match Against Slovácko
Uherské Hradiště – In a tight match marked by intensity, Sigma Olomouc managed to overcome Slovácko during their visit to the Městský fotbalový stadion Miroslava Valenty. The match, corresponding to the first matchday of the 2025 Czech Liga season, concluded with a score favorable to the visitors.
Slovácko dominated ball possession with 54% compared to Sigma Olomouc’s 46%, and generated a greater number of offensive opportunities, with 16 total shots compared to their rival’s 9. However, effectiveness was not on their side, as only 3 of their shots were on target.
The match was characterized by physical play, evidenced by the 18 fouls committed by Sigma Olomouc, resulting in two yellow cards (S. Langer in the 17th minute and A. Dolznikov in the 35th minute), while Slovácko committed 7 fouls and received one yellow card (M. Travnik, minute 85).
