Fenerbahce edged out Slavia Praha in a thrilling match at the Fortuna Arena in Prague. The game, part of the 2024 UEFA Europa League group stage matchday five, ended 2-1 in favor of the Turkish team.
A promising start for the Czechs with a goal by Tomas Chory in the 7th minute, assisted by Lukas Provod, was quickly matched by Edin Dzeko for Fenerbahce in the 35th minute, thanks to an assist from Sebastian Szymanski. The match was characterized by its intensity, with a total of 23 yellow cards shown to both teams. Provod of Slavia had a goal disallowed for offside in the 42nd minute. Finally, Youssouf En Nesyri sealed the victory for Fenerbahce in the 85th minute, assisted by Dusan Tadic.
