IF Brommapojkarna Upsets Sirius with a Comeback Win in Uppsala
IF Brommapojkarna secured a surprising 3-0 victory over Sirius in a thrilling match at Studenternas IP in Uppsala on April 13th, 2025, in the third round of the Allsvenskan regular season. Despite Sirius dominating possession (61%) and registering 15 shots (3 on target), the visiting team proved more clinical.
The match saw D. Irandust of Brommapojkarna receive a yellow card in the 50th minute. However, Brommapojkarna took the lead in the 54th minute through a goal from E. Alladoh. The second half witnessed Brommapojkarna’s dominance, with A. Kurochkin scoring twice in the 82nd and 90th minutes to secure the victory. Kurochkin was the star of the match with a brace. A late yellow card to D. Isso for Brommapojkarna did little to dampen the celebrations. Despite their 6 corners and 15 shots, Sirius couldn’t breach the resilient Brommapojkarna defense. IF Brommapojkarna, on the other hand, managed 17 shots (5 on target) and 8 corners. Their superior accuracy on target was decisive in the final outcome.
