Dar-es-Salaam, December 15, 2024 – Simba SC secured a 2-1 victory against CS Sfaxien at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in a thrilling Group Stage – 3 match of the CAF Confederation Cup. Despite dominating possession (76% for Simba), the match was far from a walkover. CS Sfaxien took an early lead with a goal from H. H. Haj in the 3rd minute. Simba responded swiftly, equalizing in the 7th minute through D. Kibu, who also scored the winning goal in the 90th minute, assisted by Y. Kagoma. The game saw several yellow cards, two for CS Sfaxien and one for Simba. Despite the disparity in possession and shots (13 for Simba, 4 for CS Sfaxien), the tension and excitement remained until the final whistle, highlighting the competitiveness of the encounter.
