Slovan Liberec Rout Sigma Olomouc in Possession-Dominated Match
Olomouc, Czech Republic – Slovan Liberec secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Sigma Olomouc at Andrův stadion in Olomouc in matchday 16 of the Czech Liga. Despite Sigma Olomouc enjoying 71% possession, Slovan Liberec’s clinical finishing proved decisive.
David Visinsky stole the show with a hat-trick (4′, 22′, 73′), assisted by Michal Hlavaty in the first two instances and by David Preisler in the last one. Abdelghani Ghali added another goal in the 47th minute, assisted by Lukáš Letenay.
Yusuf Muritala scored a consolation goal for Sigma Olomouc in the 76th minute, assisted by Filip Zorvan. However, it was not enough to prevent a defeat. Slovan Liberec, despite having only 29% possession, were far more effective in attack, managing 8 shots on target compared to Sigma Olomouc’s single shot on target from 7 attempts.
