Dalian Zhixing Edges Out Sichuan Jiuniu in Tight Chengdu Clash
The Shenzhen Stadium in Chengdu hosted a thrilling encounter between Dalian Zhixing and Sichuan Jiuniu in the 9th round of the 2025 Chinese Super League. The match, officiated by Yige Dai, ended in a closely fought 1-1 draw despite Sichuan Jiuniu’s superior possession (64%).
Dalian Zhixing took the lead in the 33rd minute with a penalty converted by C. Malele. However, a goal by Fernando Karanga was disallowed by VAR in the 73rd minute for offside.
