Wigan secures narrow victory over Shrewsbury
Wigan Athletic edged past Shrewsbury Town with a 1-0 win at The Croud Meadow in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, in a League One matchday 43 fixture of the 2024 season. The game, refereed by T. Parsons, was a tightly contested affair with Wigan holding a slight possession advantage (51% to 49%).
Shrewsbury started strongly, resulting in a yellow card for J. Feeney in the 7th minute. Wigan responded with a yellow card to W. Aimson in the 45th minute.
