Shimizu S-pulse Dominates and Defeats Yokohama FC at Home
Shizuoka, Japan – Shimizu S-pulse convincingly defeated Yokohama FC at the IAI Stadium Nihondaira in a match marked by home dominance and the sending off of a visiting player. The match, corresponding to matchday 24 of the J1 League, ended with a score favorable to Shimizu S-pulse.
Shimizu S-pulse’s dominance was reflected in ball possession, with 67% compared to Yokohama FC’s 33%. The home side generated more goal-scoring opportunities, with 14 total shots, of which 2 were on target and 4 went wide. Capixaba opened the scoring in the 59th minute, following a play with no apparent assist, and H. Nakahara sealed the match in the 72nd minute, with an assist from S. Yajima.
