Shanghai Shenhua Rout Vissel Kobe in Thrilling AFC Champions League Match
Shanghai, China – Shanghai Shenhua convincingly defeated Vissel Kobe 4-2 in a thrilling match at the Shanghai Stadium. The game, part of the AFC Champions League group stage, was marked by the home team’s dominance and an early red card for Vissel Kobe.
Saulo Mineiro was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick (two regular goals and one penalty). He opened the scoring in the 2nd minute with an assist from Gao Tianyi. Chan Shinichi extended the lead in the 45th minute, assisted by Yang Haoyu, and Mineiro scored again in the 48th minute. Mineiro’s third goal came from the penalty spot in the 70th minute.
Vissel Kobe, playing a man down from the 7th minute after P.O. Obi’s red card, managed to score late goals through N. Tominaga (87′) and H. Ide (90′), but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat.
Shanghai Shenhua dominated possession (57%) and had 25 shots (7 on target), while Vissel Kobe managed 11 shots (4 on target). The match was officiated by Majed Mohammed Al-Shamrani from Saudi Arabia.
