England Dominates Serbia in Belgrade with Offensive Display
Belgrade, September 9, 2025 – England secured a commanding victory over Serbia at the Stadion Rajko Mitić, in a match corresponding to the group stage of the European Qualifiers for the 2024 World Cup. The English team demonstrated their superiority from the start, controlling 69% of the possession and generating a total of 24 shots, of which 12 were on target.
Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, assisted by Declan Rice, setting the tone for the rout. Just two minutes later, Noni Madueke extended the lead with a goal after a pass from Marcus Rogers. In the second half, Ezri Konsa increased the difference in the 52nd minute with an assist from Marc Guehi, and Guehi scored his own goal in the 75th minute, also assisted by Rice. Marcus Rashford sealed the victory with a penalty in the 90th minute. During the match, England committed 10 fouls and received a yellow card for Anthony Gordon.
Serbia, for their part, struggled to find their rhythm, managing only 31% possession and three shots, none of which were on target. The Serbian team committed 11 fouls and suffered the expulsion of Nikola Milenkovic in the 72nd minute. Sergej Lukic also received a yellow card in the 29th minute. French referee Clement Turpin officiated the match. The final result was a clear reflection of England’s dominance on the field.
