Greece, with greater ball possession (66% compared to Scotland’s 34%), took the lead in the 62nd minute thanks to a goal by K. Tsimikas. However, the Scottish response was immediate. R. Christie equalized in the 64th minute, giving local fans a breather.
The match remained tense, with several yellow cards shown to both teams (four for Greece and one for Scotland). L. Ferguson put Scotland ahead in the 80th minute.
