Thrilling Match in Braga Ends with Genk Victory
Braga, Portugal – The Estádio Municipal de Braga witnessed an action-packed UEFA Europa League match full of goals, where Genk prevailed over SC Braga in a thrilling encounter. Despite SC Braga’s dominance in ball possession, with 63%, Genk demonstrated greater effectiveness in front of goal.
SC Braga opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a goal from R. Zalazar, who capitalized on a good offensive play. However, Genk reacted strongly. D. Heymans equalized the match just before halftime, in the 45th minute.
The second half was a whirlwind of goals. Just after the start of the second half, Y. Sor put Genk ahead in the 48th minute. The lead was extended in the 59th minute with a goal from Oh Hyeon-Gyu. SC Braga tried to react and R. Zalazar scored again in the 71st minute. But Y. Medina from Genk quickly responded in the 72nd minute, consolidating the visitors’ lead. G. Lagerbielke scored a goal for Braga in the 86th minute, but it was not enough to change the result.
