Braga Edges Out Arouca in Thrilling Encounter
SC Braga secured a victory over Arouca in a captivating match at the Estádio Municipal de Braga, in the 27th round of the Primeira Liga. The game, which ended 2-1 in favor of the home side, was filled with excitement until the final whistle.
Despite Braga enjoying 56% possession, the match began with chances for both teams. Both Arouca and Braga had goals disallowed for offside in the 20th and 22nd minutes, respectively. Braga took the lead in the 39th minute with a goal from Ricardo Horta, assisted by Uroš Račić. Račić doubled the lead for the home side four minutes later, assisted by Horta. Arouca pulled one back in the 68th minute through Antony Trezza, assisted by Hélder Araújo.
Braga controlled the game, but picked up two yellow cards (Račić and Zalazar) in the 61st and 64th minutes. Arouca also received two yellow cards, in the 78th (Fukui) and 87th (Fontan) minutes. Despite Arouca’s attempts to equalize, Braga held on to secure a crucial win in their league campaign.
