Sarpsborg 08 FF Mounts Comeback and Dominates Haugesund at Home
Sarpsborg, Norway – In a match held at Sarpsborg Stadion, Sarpsborg 08 FF achieved a resounding victory over Haugesund with a final score of 3 to 1. The match, corresponding to matchday 12 of the Eliteserien, was marked by Sarpsborg’s dominance in ball possession (60%) and increasing effectiveness in front of goal.
Haugesund surprised at the start of the match, opening the scoring in the 6th minute with a goal by S. Innvaer. However, Sarpsborg did not back down and relentlessly sought the equalizer, which arrived in the 46th minute thanks to D. Karlsbakk.
The second half was clearly dominated by the home side. In the 60th minute, a goal by S. Innvaer for Haugesund was disallowed by VAR due to an offside. From that moment on, Sarpsborg went on the attack. D. Karlsbakk reappeared in the 75th minute, assisted by J. Berget, to put Sarpsborg ahead. Karlsbakk himself sealed the match in the 85th minute, converting a penalty.
