Sanfrecce Hiroshima Rout Eastern in AFC Cup Clash
Hiroshima, Japan – Sanfrecce Hiroshima secured a dominant 4-1 victory over Eastern in the sixth matchday of the 2024 AFC Cup group stage, played at the Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima. The match, officiated by Indonesia’s Thoriq Munir Alkatiri, saw a clear dominance from the home side.
Eastern took an early lead at the 10-minute mark with a goal from Y. H. Ng, assisted by N. Baffoe. However, Sanfrecce Hiroshima responded with a superior display, equalizing at the 36th minute through a goal by T. Aoyama. In the second half, the Japanese team unleashed an unstoppable offensive, scoring three more goals: G. Paciencia (53′), Y. Nakajima (57′), and P. Sotiriou (73′).
