San Lorenzo and Tigre played a thrilling match at the Estadio Pedro Bidegaín, part of the 2025 Argentine Professional League’s Round of 16. The game, played on May 10th in Buenos Aires, ended with a 2-1 victory for San Lorenzo, a match marked by a San Lorenzo player’s red card and numerous yellow cards.
San Lorenzo took an early lead with a goal from Agustín Vombergar in the 4th minute, assisted by Ezequiel Cerutti. However, Tigre, dominating possession (73%), equalized through Héctor Fertoli in the 49th minute. The game became even more exciting in the final stages when Agustín Cuello scored the winning goal for San Lorenzo in the 89th minute.
Despite their victory, San Lorenzo finished with one man less after Irala’s red card in the 13th minute and accumulated a total of five yellow cards. Tigre also received two yellow cards. Statistics reflect Tigre’s superiority in possession and shots (11 to 5), but San Lorenzo’s effectiveness in attack and key game moments were decisive for the final result. The referee was Yael Falcon Perez.
