Saint-Étienne and Nice played a thrilling match at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, in the 24th round of Ligue 1. The match, played on March 1st, 2025, ended with a 2-3 victory for Nice.
The game started with an exchange of early yellow cards: at the 5th minute, I. Cardona of Saint-Étienne received a yellow card, followed by J. Clauss of Nice at the 6th minute. Nice took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal from P. Rosario. Saint-Étienne responded with a goal from L. Stassin in the 32nd minute, assisted by A. Moueffek, tying the game. The second half brought more excitement: an own goal by M. Nade in the 52nd minute put Nice back in the lead. However, Saint-Étienne fought back, but a goal by E. Guessand in the 69th minute, assisted by M. Cho, sealed the victory for Nice. The match concluded with another yellow card for M. Bernauer of Saint-Étienne at the 90th minute.
