RWDM overcomes Deinze in a thrilling encounter
Brussels, October 26, 2024. RWDM beat Deinze 4-3 in an exciting encounter played at the Edmond Machtensstadion, in the ninth round of the Challenger Pro League.
The match started with an early goal from E. Daci for Deinze in the 22nd minute. However, RWDM responded quickly and managed to tie the score in the 27th minute with a penalty converted by P. Parzyszek.
C. Makosso put RWDM ahead in the 36th minute, before G. De Schryver equalized the match in the 51st minute. RWDM’s lead was restored in the 90th minute with an own goal, which meant victory for the home team.
Deinze had the opportunity to equalize the score in the 90th minute, but RWDM defended solidly. RWDM’s victory was aided by 54% possession and 13 shots, including 5 on target. Deinze, in turn, had 46% possession and 10 shots, 7 of them on target.
