Russia and Nigeria Draw in Thrilling International Friendly
Moscow, June 6, 2025 – In a vibrant friendly match held at the Stadion Luzhniki, Russia and Nigeria drew in a game marked by intensity and opportunities. Russia dominated possession with 58% compared to Nigeria’s 42%, constantly searching for the opponent’s goal.
The match began with a yellow card for Russia’s M. Osipenko in the 19th minute. Luck favored Russia in the 27th minute when an own goal by S. Ajayi put the home side ahead. Despite Russian dominance, with 10 total shots (2 on target and 7 off target) compared to Nigeria’s 6 (4 on target and 2 off target), Nigeria did not give up.
