Heart of Midlothian defeated Ross County 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall, Scotland. The game, part of the 2024 Scottish Premiership’s second phase, was officiated by D. Robertson and saw the visitors dominate possession.
Ross County took the lead in the 26th minute through R. Hale, assisted by N. Kenneh. However, Heart of Midlothian fought back strongly. L. Shankland equalized in the 40th minute, assisted by B. Baningime, and scored again in the 58th minute, this time assisted by K. Vargas, who later received a yellow card. A. Forrest added a third for Heart of Midlothian in the 82nd minute, with an assist from Shankland. Ross County also received a yellow card, to Z. Ashworth.
Despite the loss, Ross County managed 13 shots, 4 on target, demonstrating attacking intent. Heart of Midlothian, however, controlled possession (63%) and registered 22 shots, 8 on target. The corner count was also significantly different: 13 for Heart of Midlothian and 4 for Ross County.
