Canada Overpowers Romania in Bucharest Friendly
Canada secured a decisive victory over Romania in a friendly match held at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The international friendly saw Canada take the initiative early on. Jonathan David opened the scoring in the 11th minute, assisted by A. Ahmed. Ahmed himself extended Canada’s lead in the 22nd minute, without an assist.
The game became more physical, with yellow cards issued to L. De Fougerolles and D. Cornelius for Canada, and to N. Stanciu and F. Tanase for Romania. Finally, in the 77th minute, N. Sigur sealed the victory for Canada with a goal, assisted by T. Oluwaseyi.
