Nice Secures Victory in Tense Match Against Rennes
Nice defeated Rennes at Roazhon Park in a hard-fought match filled with cards, ending with a score of two to one. Despite dominating possession with 58%, Rennes failed to translate their control into goals.
Nice struck first with a goal by S. Diop in the 38th minute, assisted by J. Clauss. Clauss himself extended the lead just before halftime, in the 45th minute, assisted by J. Boga.
Rennes responded in the second half, with A. Ait Boudlal scoring in the 67th minute, assisted by P. Frankowski, giving hope to the home fans. However, a goal by the same Ait Boudlal was disallowed by VAR in the 90th minute due to offside, frustrating Rennes’ hopes of a draw.
