Paris Saint Germain secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg in the sixth matchday of the UEFA Champions League group stage, played at the Red Bull Arena in Wals-Siezenheim on December 10th, 2024. The match, officiated by Michael Oliver from England, was dominated by the Parisian side.
PSG opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a goal from G. Ramos, assisted by A. Hakimi. Red Bull Salzburg attempted to fight back, but were outmatched by the French team’s superiority. Frustration resulted in three yellow cards for the home side (Guindo, Gourna-Douath and Capaldo).
In the second half, PSG extended their lead with a goal from N. Mendes in the 72nd minute, thanks to an assist from D. Doue, who himself would score the third goal in the 85th minute, assisted by A. Hakimi. Statistics reflected PSG’s dominance, with 70% possession, 15 shots (8 on target), 5 corners and only 11 fouls. Red Bull Salzburg, on the other hand, managed only 3 shots (1 on target) and 30% possession. PSG’s victory was clear and resounding, securing their qualification in the Champions League.
