Real Salt Lake Falls to CS Herediano in Thrilling CONCACAF Champions League Match
Sandy, Utah – In a vibrant and exciting match at America First Field, Real Salt Lake fell to CS Herediano with a final score of 2-1 in the first leg of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions League first round. Despite dominating possession with 61% and launching 30 shots (6 on target), the home team couldn’t contain the Costa Rican side.
Real Salt Lake took the lead early, with a goal from F. Ajago in the 26th minute, assisted by D. Marczuk. However, CS Herediano proved their effectiveness in the second half. E. Aguilar equalized the score in the 70th minute, assisted by R. Vega, who sealed the victory for his team with a penalty in the 90th minute.
