Real Betis Dominates and Defeats Utrecht in Europa League
Seville, November 27, 2025 – Real Betis Balompié defeated FC Utrecht at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla in a match corresponding to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League. The “Verdiblancos,” with 65% possession, demonstrated their superiority on the field.
Betis opened the scoring in the 42nd minute with a goal from Cucho Hernández, assisted by Antony. In the second half, Abde Ezzalzouli extended the lead for the home side in the 50th minute, assisted by Pablo Fornals. Utrecht reacted in the 55th minute with a goal from M. Rodriguez, but it wasn’t enough to counter Betis’ dominance.
The match was marked by intensity and numerous fouls, although only two yellow cards were shown, one for each team. A goal from Utrecht, scored by D.
