Atlético de Madrid Defeats Real Betis in Seville
Seville, Spain – Atlético de Madrid secured an important away victory against Real Betis at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla. The match, corresponding to La Liga’s matchday 10, ended with a scoreline favoring the “Colchoneros”.
Atlético Madrid displayed effectiveness from the start. G. Simeone opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, following an assist from Koke, scoring an early goal that destabilized the home team. Just before halftime, A. Baena extended Atlético’s lead in the 45th minute, with a goal after a pass from J. Alvarez, leaving Betis with a steep hill to climb in the second half.
