Barnsley Thrashes Reading in Thrilling League One Encounter
Reading, Berkshire – Barnsley secured a convincing 4-2 victory over Reading in a captivating League One match at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Despite Reading enjoying 54% possession, it was the visitors who dominated the scoreboard with superior attacking efficiency.
Barnsley took the lead in the 52nd minute through S. Humphrys, assisted by J. Earl. J. Russell extended the lead seven minutes later, assisted by B. Cotter. Although L. Wing pulled one back for Reading in the 67th minute, Barnsley responded with two more goals from D. Keillor-Dunn in the 79th and 85th minutes. Despite a late goal from B. Bodin for Reading in added time, Barnsley’s victory was never in doubt.
