RB Bragantino Sets the Pace at Home Against Fluminense
Bragança Paulista, São Paulo – In a vibrant match held at the Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques, RB Bragantino secured a victory against Fluminense in a back-and-forth encounter for matchday 21 of the Brazilian Serie A.
Bragantino came out with overwhelming intensity, scoring two goals in the first four minutes. Jhon Jhon opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, thanks to an assist from I. Laquintana, who emerged as a key figure in the local attack. Two minutes later, Eduardo Sasha extended the lead, again with an assist from Laquintana.
Fluminense attempted to react, and Hercules scored in the 45th minute, assisted by A. Canobbio, just before halftime.
The second half continued with the same frenetic pace. I. Laquintana, rewarding his great performance, scored the third goal for Bragantino in the 48th minute, assisted by Vanderlan. Fluminense did not give up and L. Acosta, who had previously received a yellow card, scored the second goal for his team in the 63rd minute.
However, Davi Gomes sealed the victory for RB Bragantino in the 81st minute, with an assist from T. Borbas, establishing a final score that reflected the superiority of the home team.
The match, refereed by Lucas Paulo Torezin, was marked by a high number of fouls and yellow cards, reflecting the intensity with which both teams contested every ball. RB Bragantino, with 36% possession, was effective in its approaches to the rival area, while Fluminense, despite dominating possession with 64%, failed to materialize all its opportunities.
