SV Ried thrashes Rapid Wien II in dominant display
SV Ried secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Rapid Wien II at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna on April 11th, 2025. The match, part of the 23rd round of the Austrian 2. Liga, was officiated by Stefan Macanovic and saw Ried dominate possession (56%) and convert their chances clinically.
Goals arrived at various stages of the game. O. Steurer opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, assisted by A. Bajic. Bajic then netted again in the 59th minute, this time assisted by D. Bumberger. D. Berger added a third in the 69th minute, followed by Bajic’s second goal in the 73rd. M. Grosse completed the rout with a goal in the 82nd minute. Despite the loss, Rapid Wien II registered 6 shots (5 on target) but lacked the cutting edge to threaten Ried’s defense. The match also saw several yellow cards shown, with two going to the home side and one to Rapid Wien II.
