Goal Fest in Bucharest: Rapid Dominates Csikszereda
Bucharest, Romania – In an electrifying match held at the Superbet Arena – Giulesti, Rapid Bucharest powerfully defeated Csikszereda with a convincing victory. The match, corresponding to matchday 18 of Liga I, season 2025, was an offensive display by the home team, who took advantage of their greater ball possession (55%) to generate numerous scoring opportunities.
C. Grameni opened the scoring early, in the 10th minute, with an accurate finish after an assist from M. Aioani. The lead was extended in the 27th minute thanks to A. Dobre, who took advantage of a good pass from C. Petrila to beat the visiting goalkeeper. However, Csikszereda did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit in the 38th minute through a penalty converted by M. Eppel.
The second half was marked by Rapid’s dominance, who although committing more fouls (18) than Csikszereda (14), managed to maintain superiority in the game. C. Petrila’s goal in the 82nd minute, assisted by L. Bolgado, practically sealed the match. C. Manea sealed the victory with a goal in the 86th minute, after another assist from Petrila, who was a key figure in Rapid’s attack.
While both teams received a yellow card, for J. Hromada of Rapid and B. Vegh of Csikszereda, the match was not characterized by excessively rough play. Rapid demonstrated their superiority on the field, dominating possession and generating a greater number of shots on goal (8) than their rival (4). The hosts add three important points in their search for the top spots in the Liga I table.
