Rapid Vienna thrashes SCR Altach in thrilling match
Rapid Vienna secured a resounding 6-0 victory over SCR Altach in an exciting match at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna. The game, part of the Austrian Bundesliga’s 20th round, was marked by the sending-off of one player from each team and a dominant goal-scoring display from the home side.
Rapid Vienna took the lead early with a goal from N. Cvetkovic in the 8th minute, assisted by M. Seidl. I. Jansson extended the lead in the 56th minute, also assisted by Seidl. Following the red cards shown to N. Cvetkovic (double yellow) and P. Koller (double yellow) for both teams, Rapid Vienna controlled the game. Jansson scored his second goal in the 68th minute, and D. Beljo added another in the 80th. An additional goal with an unknown scorer sealed the victory in the 90th minute. Despite equal possession (50% each), Rapid Vienna significantly outshot their opponents (10 shots on target to 2).
