Rangers Rout Kilmarnock in Dominant Display
Glasgow, December 4, 2024 – Rangers hammered Kilmarnock 6-0 in a one-sided affair at Ibrox Stadium, in the Premiership’s matchday 15. The match, officiated by N. Walsh, saw Rangers completely dominate possession (73%) and create numerous scoring opportunities.
Rangers took the lead in the 37th minute through J. Tavernier, assisted by I. Hagi. Kilmarnock received a yellow card before halftime. After the break, Rangers’ dominance intensified. Danilo (53′), H. Igamane (55′), and V. Cerny (61′) extended the lead, leaving Kilmarnock with no realistic chance of a comeback. Late in the game, C. Dessers completed a hat-trick with goals in the 69th and 77th minutes, sealing a comprehensive victory for the Glasgow side. Kilmarnock offered little threat on goal, finishing the match with two yellow cards and a number of forced substitutions. Rangers had 26 shots (11 on target), while Kilmarnock managed only one shot.
