Rangers Rout Aberdeen in Dominant Display
Glasgow, Scotland – Rangers secured a resounding 4-0 victory over Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on Saturday. The match, part of the Premiership’s second phase, round 3, was dominated by the home side.
Rangers controlled possession (69%) and created numerous scoring opportunities, registering 19 shots (8 on target). Vladimír Černý scored twice (55th and 90th minutes), while Cyriel Dessers and Hamed Igamane added one goal each (61st and 71st minutes respectively). Nicolas Raskin provided key assists for two of the goals.
Aberdeen struggled to cope with the Rangers’ dominance, managing only 8 shots (4 on target) and 31% possession. Frustration led to four yellow cards for Aberdeen players (Tobers, Shinnie, McGrath and Jensen). Rangers received one yellow card (Diomande).
Referee David Dickinson oversaw the match. Despite the final scoreline, the game was filled with excitement, including an offside goal disallowed for Rangers in the first half and several chances for both sides. Rangers’ superiority was evident, reflected in the final result.
