Argentinos Juniors thrashed Racing Club in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Perón in Avellaneda. The game, corresponding to the sixth matchday of the first phase of the 2025 Argentine Professional League, ended with a resounding 3-2 victory for the visiting team.
Argentinos Juniors dominated much of the match, opening the scoring with goals from Lescano (23′), Molina (28′), and Prieto (47′). Racing Club, despite having more possession (53%), fought until the end, scoring goals from Barrios (83′) and Di Cesare (88′). The match was marked by tension, with a total of six yellow cards handed out between both teams (three for each). Although Racing Club had more shots (13 to 13), Argentinos Juniors were more effective in their finishing, with 6 shots on target compared to Racing’s 3.
