QPR Stages Comeback Victory Over Swansea at Loftus Road
Queens Park Rangers (QPR) secured a dramatic comeback win against Swansea City at the MATRADE Loftus Road in London, in a Championship matchday 44 clash. The game, officiated by Tom Nield, ended 2-1 in favor of the home side.
Swansea took the lead in the 29th minute through an own goal by M. Fox. However, QPR fought back in the second half. Despite having less shots on target (2 compared to Swansea’s 2), QPR’s 54% possession paid off as K. Dembele scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute, assisted by N. Madsen, eventually securing the win for his team.
The match was a fiercely contested affair, with a total of 35 fouls committed and two yellow cards issued, one to each team (H. Ashby for QPR and J. Tymon for Swansea). Despite Swansea’s superior shot count and possession, QPR’s efficiency in the final stages proved decisive.
