Sichuan Jiuniu snatched a victory against Qingdao Jonoon at the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium. The match, part of the second round of the 2025 Chinese Super League regular season, ended with a narrow 1-0 win for the away team. Despite Qingdao Jonoon controlling 58% of the possession, they failed to convert any of their ten shots on target. Sichuan Jiuniu, on the other hand, proved more clinical, scoring the winning goal in the 58th minute through Zhang Yujie. The game was a tense affair, with a total of 31 fouls and five yellow cards shown: two to Qingdao Jonoon (Saric and Liu Junshuai) and three to Sichuan Jiuniu (Zhang Yudong, Yang Yiming, and Kartsev).
