Thrilling Draw Between Qarabag and Ferencvarosi TC in Baku
Baku witnessed a vibrant match between Qarabag and Ferencvarosi TC that culminated in a 3-3 draw. The match, corresponding to the UEFA Champions League Play-offs and played at the Tofiq Bəhramov adına Respublika stadionu, had constant lead changes and a high pace of play.
Ferencvarosi TC took an early lead with a goal from L. Joseph in the 12th minute, assisted by B. Varga. However, Qarabag reacted and Leandro Andrade equalized in the 25th minute, with an assist from N. Akhundzade. Just before halftime, A. Zoubir put Qarabag ahead in the 45th minute, assisted again by Leandro Andrade.
In the second half, Ferencvarosi TC came out with renewed energy and B. Varga scored from a penalty in the 55th minute, tying the game again. The intensity did not diminish, and A. Toth scored for Ferencvarosi TC in the 82nd minute, making it 2-3.
Despite the final effort from Qarabag, the score did not change further, ending the match in a 3-3 draw. Qarabag had 40% possession, 10 shots (2 on target), while Ferencvarosi TC dominated possession with 60% and took 16 shots (6 on target). French referee Clement Turpin cautioned three players from each team during the match.
