Pyramids FC thrashed FAR Rabat 4-1 in a thrilling CAF Champions League quarter-final match played at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium in Cairo. The match, officiated by O. Artan, saw Pyramids FC take control early on. F. Mayele opened the scoring in the 2nd minute and scored again in the 12th, assisted by M. Fathi and I. Adel respectively. I. Adel added another goal in the 39th minute, assisted by R. Sobhi, giving his team a comfortable 3-0 lead before halftime. A. Hadraf pulled one back for FAR Rabat in the 45th minute, assisted by Y. El Fahli, offering a glimmer of hope for the visitors. However, I. Adel completed his brace in the 67th minute, assisted by I. B. Toure, sealing the victory. Despite FAR Rabat enjoying more possession (58% vs 42%), Pyramids FC were more clinical in attack, managing 12 shots (6 on target) compared to FAR Rabat’s 6 shots (2 on target). Pyramids FC received one yellow card, while FAR Rabat received two.
