PSV Eindhoven thrashes Heracles in a dominant display
PSV Eindhoven secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Heracles Almelo at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven. The home side completely controlled the match, enjoying 68% possession and unleashing 29 shots, 11 of which were on target.
PSV’s goals came early and often. Mohamed Tillman opened the scoring in the 18th minute, assisted by Luuk de Jong. Ilias Saibari added two goals, one in the 21st minute assisted by Tillman and another in the 35th minute with an assist from Sergiño Dest. Tillman completed his brace in the 40th minute, assisted by Mauro Júnior.
Heracles offered little threat, managing only 3 shots, 2 of them on target. Their solitary goal arrived in the 75th minute thanks to M. Engels, assisted by S. Podgoreanu. Despite the consolation goal, PSV’s dominance was overwhelming, reflected in the statistics. The match, part of the Eredivisie’s 33rd round, was officiated by Bas Nijhuis.
