Port Vale defeated Bradford City 2-1 in a thrilling match at Vale Park in Stoke-on-Trent. The home side dominated the first half, scoring two goals. The first came in the 11th minute through L. Although they managed to pull one back in the 89th minute with a missed penalty converted by R. Smallwood (own goal), they couldn’t find an equaliser. The game was a tense affair, with four yellow cards shown to Bradford and one to Port Vale. Despite their possession and shot advantage, Bradford failed to convert their dominance into goals, succumbing to Port Vale’s efficiency.
