Viktoria Plzeň defeated Teplice 2-1 in a match played at the Doosan Aréna in Plzeň on December 5th, 2024, corresponding to matchday 8 of the Czech Liga. The game was marked by the expulsion of O. Kricfalusi from Teplice in the 43rd minute, which conditioned the development of the game. Despite being a man down, Teplice managed to create chances, with 13 shots, 5 of them on target. However, Plzeň dominated possession (68%) and generated more scoring opportunities, with 18 shots, 7 on target. The score opened in the 67th minute thanks to a goal by S. Dweh, assisted by C. Souare. Teplice managed to reduce the deficit in the 90th minute with a goal from Y. Tsykalo, but Plzeň held on for the victory. Plzeň received one yellow card, while Teplice received one red card. The match, refereed by Dalibor Cerny from Czechia, showed a clear superiority of Plzeň in terms of possession and shots on target, although Teplice fought until the end.
